First Quarter 2009

  • Aspen Impact's team will travel to Vancouver to study sports event management tactics at the Winter Olympics...and to enjoy the Games, of course!
  • In February, Bryan speaks about marketing for nonprofit organizations at Harvard University's 2010 global alumni leadership conference in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
  • Aspen Impact starts facility planning for a network of sports leagues and city planners in Central Indiana.

Fourth Quarter 2009

  • Aspen Impact completes business planning for new basketball tournament venue in Indianapolis and for housing and wraparound services program for homeless youth.
  • Aspen Impact guides the design and production of an annual report for a professional mentoring program serving Central Indiana.
  • In December, Bryan presents "Social Networking for Butterflies, Web Junkies, and Wallflowers" at the Indiana Convention Center. His presentation is for 80 nonprofit executives, managers, and board members at Indiana's annual statewide Kids Count Conference.
  • In November, Bryan presents "What's the Score? Who's Winning? Who Knows?: Discover Ways to Measure and Communicate Your Impact" to 50 nonprofit executives and consultants at WFYI's headquarters in Indianapolis.


Third Quarter 2009

  • Bryan and Anna tour nonprofit organizations in Seattle, Washington and Vancouver, British Columbia to examine effective social policies and operations for environmental preservation programs and services for individuals with visual impairments.
  • With assistance from Aspen Impact, Cardinal Greenways launches brand-new fundraising strategies and web site (www.cardinalgreenways.org).
  • Aspen Impact completes fundraising strategy project for one of Indiana's largest library foundations. Foundation doubles its total donations and triples its donor base within the first six months.
  • Anna receives promotion to Controller of $15-million organization while she continues position at Aspen Impact.


Second Quarter 2009

  • Bryan speaks at the Survivor: Managing Change, Maximizing Impact conference in Indianapolis on April 22nd. The conference is co-sponsored by SAVI, United Way of Central Indiana, and the IUPUI Nonprofit Solutions Center. See www.savi.org/conference for details.
  • With assistance from Aspen Impact, nature and tourism organizations win $20,000+ in grant awards from community and private foundations.
  • Bryan guides community gardening program in development of board bylaws, recruitment of board members, and correspondence with foundations. Client wins five-figure grant award for new infrastructure.


First Quarter 2009

  • Bryan presents report on transitional housing for homeless populations to seven of Indiana's largest foundations.
  • Aspen Impact completes financial reporting and time management project for executive director and board of nonprofit client focused on youth with special needs.
  • Bryan speaks at Harvard University's 2009 global alumni leadership conference in Cambridge, Massachusetts about "Revitalizing Your Organization."
  • Bryan and Anna conduct hospitality and stadium activities for 2009 Big Ten Basketball tournament at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
  • Aspen Impact interviews community leaders in California, Colorado, and Oregon, and writes study of foundation, government, and corporate support for transitional housing and service programs.

Fourth Quarter 2008

  • With assistance from Aspen Impact, Central Indiana library foundation client seeks and receives $10,000 grant to build life sciences collection.
  • Aspen Impact completes marketing and fundraising strategies for clients in Central Indiana.
  • Aspen Impact interviews company and school officials, studies the evolution of campus and online education, and co-authors report on for-profit university business models for government officials in Seoul, South Korea.
  • Aspen Impact guides strategic planning process and designs corporate identity for new school in Indianapolis.

Third Quarter 2008 and Earlier

  • Aspen Impact creates marketing collateral for real estate company in Los Angeles.
  • Aspen Impact interviews executive directors and program managers throughout the country, analyzes operational models, and authors report on national best practices in transitional housing and services for homeless youth.
  • Anna completes term as Board Treasurer for Executive Women International.
  • With assistance from Aspen Impact, Indiana-based parent collaborative seeks and receives $10,000+ grant for financial reporting and cost accounting project.
  • Bryan becomes President of the Harvard Club of Indiana. Club doubles event participation within first year of his presidency; expands admissions, lecture, and social event activities; and receives recognition for heightened impact from Harvard Alumni Association.
  • Aspen Impact guides strategic planning and marketing initiatives for Cardinal Greenways, the largest rails-to-trails project in Indiana.
  • Bryan teaches courses at Beijing University; in Dongguan, China; at Purdue University; and at the University of Michigan. Topics include urban entrepreneurship, fundraising strategy, and education policy.
  • Aspen Impact authors reports on venture capital, life sciences innovation, and global expansion for Indiana economic development group.
